Lawrence Flowers and Intercession is a group of talented, spiritual, eclectic and anointed, to say the least, group of out of the box individuals who have devoted their lives to "entering into sessions of ones life to affect change", which is also their mission statement. Their sound is like a breath of fresh air along with their eye catching fashion forwardness, captivating a broad spectrum of fans and followers of various ages and ethnicities. Although their passion is gospel, they have a mass appeal that crosses all genres.
Lawrence Anthony Flowers, founder and visionary, began singing at a very young age. Because of his great God given talent and anointing over the years, he has been afforded the opportunity to share his gift all over the world in places such as Milan, Italy, Trinidad and the Bahamas and venues such as Carnegie Hall; The White House and St. Peters Basilica. Lawrence has also been blessed to tour with the Boys Choir of Tallahassee, Florida and shared the platform with gospel greats such as: Dr. Bobby Jones, Pastor Shirley Ceasar, Kim Burrell, Karen Clark-Sheard, Donald Lawrence, Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams and many more.
During December of 2001, Lawrence Flowers and Intercession (L.F.I.) was formed. After uploading an accapella version of their first single “Your Love” their popularity began to grow exponentially establishing a fan base across the country. The video reached nearly 100,000 hits within months and many doors began to open.
The highly anticipated debut album entitled, Major In Ministry/Minor In Music: The Experience Live, was released January 2009. The album features smash hits such as: "Forever", "Already Alright", "Job Experience" and "Transformation".
Since the release of the album, Lawrence Flowers and Intercession have received several awards in the gospel music industry such as the illustrious 2009 and 2010 **Rhythm of Gospel Award, Tribe of Judah Award and was also nominated for four 2010 **Southern Florida Gospel Music Association Awards.
Lawrence Flowers and Intercession's focus is to minister beyond walls to reach the lost and unchurched. Their ambition is to interrupt and tear down all barriers.
